I don’t believe any of this story, but thought I’d throw it out to you all to discuss!! According to the National Enquirer Zac Efron propsed to Vanessa Hudgens, while the pair were in Japan promoting the release of High School Musical 3 last month.
The tabloid says that the engagement a spur of the moment thing, mostly meant to calm Vanessa’s super-conservative mom who has spoken out against their recent decision to move in together. (Wait, move in together? Didn’t they just buy separate houses?)
“Zac hasn’t given Vanessa a ring yet. But he’s hoping the proposal will buy him some time with Vanessa’s super-strict mom, Gina, who didn’t approve of the sweethearts living together before they were married.”

That would be interesting to see. I wonder if it's true. Although most stories form these types of tabloids are not true.
